Pharmacology for Midwives
Pharmacology for Midwives
Learn to administer pharmacological agents essential to midwifery care
This course worth 8 MEAC ACCREDITED CEU HOURS will discuss treatment of conditions requiring drug therapy in midwifery care. Every midwife should regularly refresh her knowledge of a select formulary of drugs used in midwifery care, and practice the skills needed to safely use these drugs to protect the health and safety of mothers and babies in the midwife’s care in out-of-hospital settings. Midwives should also be aware of the issues regarding drug use by their clients, and updated best practice for determining risks in pregnancy and lactation.
Note: Full proficiency must be demonstrated before being issued the passing certificate and CEU's for this course. Be advised that you may need to register and pay again if you do not pass.
